This is nicely made and the printing (on both sides) is centered and crisp. Don’t think I’d use for groceries…maybe light retail therapy? I wanted it for storing my knitting needles cases, crochet hooks cases, small reference book and a zip case with stitch holders, markers, counters and other bits and pieces so I have everything handy by my side. It holds alot and looks pretty nice in my livingroom. Really happy with this purchase!

i compared it to 2 other similar bags, the Rothco canvas ammo shoulder bag (middle) and the Sweetbriar classic messenger bag (right), and the Gootium seems like the best option for what I am looking for. it uses snap and zipper closures, preferable to me over velcro, and feels like the right size for a small shoulder bag or satchel. probably not going to fit a laptop in here, but for carrying shades/case, kindle, pen, phone notepad keys lighters etc it’s the right size. has 2 outer pockets, one smallish outer zipper pocket and a more discreet small zipper pocket in the main compartment.

Great size. Comfortable handles in the hand and long enough to go over my shoulder. Inside zipper pocket to hold keys or cash or small-ish things. It has a coating on the inside which makes it easy to wipe clean (post farmers market without using plastic bags).
Carry anything and everything in this thing! I haven’t weighed this bag when it’s loaded but I bet it could handle a heavy load of groceries, books, picnic supplies, and beach stuff..

They are great! the burlap is a strong sturdy material that even if it gets slightly damp holds up really well. The inside is lined with a plastic type of material which adds to the sturdiness and even if something breaks it stays within the bag (I had a pack of chicken spring a leak and it was super easy to clean up plus the chicken juice only got on the stuff in that bag instead of onto everything in the trunk)
